Jeff Hopfenbeck is a current MBA candidate at the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business, where he is concentrating in entrepreneurship and real estate. On campus, he has worked to contribute to CU’s entrepreneurial community, serving as a managing director of the Deming Center Venture Fund and co-captain of CU’s Venture Capital Investment Competition team.
Prior to business school, Jeff worked for the Telluride Foundation where he assisted with the implementation of the Telluride Venture Accelerator, directed the Foundation’s rural community development initiatives in Southwest Colorado, and was involved with the development of the Colorado Impact Fund. Previously, he was a fellow at El Pomar Foundation in Colorado Springs where he directed the Foundation’s communications efforts, directed regional grantmaking in Southwest Colorado, and served as a community partnerships fellow in Governor Hickenlooper’s office during the devastating 2012 wildfires. He received his bachelor’s degree in politics from Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA.
