John Marotta is a Senior Vice President at Mesa Labs (NASDAQ: MLAB). Marotta has expansive operating experience in global healthcare, life sciences and medical device companies. Prior to Mesa Labs, he led a $350M operating company (Kerr Restoratives) as the General Manager & Vice President for Danaher (NYSE: DHR). Before joining Danaher he was the former CEO and Co-Founder of Emerge Medical an orthopaedic implant company. He led the company to an acquisition by Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH) in 2014. At Cardinal he served as Vice President & Operating Partner. Marotta began his career at Johnson & Johnson operating companies Janssen Pharmaceutica and DePuy Synthes in various roles. He also holds several medical device patents, both in orthopedic implants and instruments.
Marotta is a Healthcare Fellow at the Aspen Institute and Blackstone Entrepreneur. He is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network and the Quarterly Forum. Marotta served on the boards of ExsoMed Medical, the Colorado Governors Leadership Fellowship, the Colorado Mountain Club and formally, the Salvation Army. He earned a masters in business administration from the University of Denver and a bachelors from the University of Dayton. He is an Eagle Scout and holds a LEAN MBB. John is a dual citizen of Italy and the United States.
