With more than 30 years’ leadership experience in building and operating communications businesses, Mr. O’Hara has led a number of organizations from their early stages through periods of rapid growth, and has presided over the acquisition or integration of more than 30 companies. Mr. O’Hara most recently served as President and CEO of Integra Telecom where he was responsible for turning around a financially troubled business. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Integra. Prior to Integra, he was a co-founder of Level 3 Communications and served as its President and Chief Operating Officer, helping to lead it from its inception to $4.2 billion of annual revenue, with markets in North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to the founding of Level 3, he served as president and CEO of MFS Global Network Services, where he helped lead the growth of MFS from a single city service provider to a provider with international reach. During his tenure at MFS, annual revenue grew to more than $2 billion. Mr. O’Hara also serves on the board of directors for RigNet Communications and is Chairman of the Board of Elemental Technologies. He is an advocate for children and has served on the board of directors or the President’s Advisory Council for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado for more than 10 years.
Mr. O’Hara earned a BSEE from Drexel University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He has been recognized as one of the Drexel 100, Drexel University’s highest level of recognition, and currently serves on Drexel’s leadership Council.
