Michael began his career as an international management consultant where he worked on behalf of many industry-leading technology companies. Highlights of his experience included managing merger of two regional Bell operating companies and the sale of a telecommunications start-up. In 2003, he was hired by DigitalGlobe to help submit its eventual winning bid for the US Government’s EnhancedView Program which led to DigitalGlobe designing, building and launching three successful new satellites from 2005-present. Over his ten year career at DigitalGlobe, Michael was instrumental in building the company’s commercial business. His contributions included constructing its long-term contractual relationship with Google to help build GoogleEarth™; leading the company’s first-ever technology acquisition (GlobeXplorer) in 2006; and helping prepare for the company’s successful IPO in 2006 (NYSE: DGI)

In 2004, Michael helped found and build Spatial Energy LLC and sat on the Board of that company until joining the management team in 2012. He managed the successful sale of Spatial Energy to DigitalGlobe in 2014 for 4x revenue.

From 2014 to 2016, Michael ran the satellite imaging company, GeoNorth, LLC, and helped it grow from start-up to a $2,000,000 run rate in revenue during his 2-yr tenure.

Michael serves on the board of directors for Hoyas Unlimited, the athletic fundraising arm for Georgetown University. He is also looking forward to continuing working with growth-stage companies as an advisor with the Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network.

He lives and plays in Boulder, CO with his wife and 4 children.
