Mike enjoys C-level engagements with small businesses and private equity firms. His expertise focuses on sales growth and gross margin contribution. In addition, he has extensive experience in business valuation and acquisition. He is an entrepreneur and has founded and served as president for several successful businesses. Mike is an investor in real estate ventures, private equity funds and small business start-ups. He received his BSBA degree from the University of Denver and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
In addition to his involvement with the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, Mike has endowed a scholarship fund at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies and is an active supporter of the DU Ski Team.
Mike St. John has served for many years as a General Trustee for the Seeds of Hope Charitable Trust and as Chair of the Daniels College of Business Executive Advisory Board. He is a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association and currently a Blackstone Entrepreneurs Network advisor.
Mike’s diverse business ventures have included IT hardware and software integration, telecommunications services, professional services in the finance industry and broadband franchise negotiation with state and local governments. He has also been responsible for the development, design and installation of advanced technologies for sports arenas as well as higher education infrastructure. In recent years, Mike enhanced a noted private equity firm’s visibility in the business community and increased its brand recognition. He managed investor relations, and was responsible for analysis, identification and recommendation of targeted limited partners
