Steve Ball is one of the Founders, former CEO and CMO of “I and love and you”, the fastest-growing premium pet food brand in grocery that was founded in 2012 in Boulder, CO. Steve led "I and love and you" to a $20MM run-rate and a $70MM valuation, raising over $50MM from multiple private equity investors and ultimately selling a majority ownership to the leading consumer brand focused PE firm L Catterton in 2017.
Prior to “I and love and you”, Steve was a Brand Manager at General Mills and Nestle. While at General Mills, Steve worked at Small Planet Foods, a subsidiary with brands such as Food Should Taste Good, Larabar, Cascadian Farm, and Muir Glen Organic. It was while working at Small Planet Foods that Steve developed his passion for building lifestyle brands in the natural products industry. Previously, Steve held various Marketing positions for a venture capital backed Silicon Valley software company and was also a Management Consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers in San Francisco.
Steve graduated from Stanford University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He earned his MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, where he focused on marketing and entrepreneurship.
