Walt Pounds is an entrepreneur at heart and enjoyed a successful career in high tech holding executive roles in Fortune 500 companies and in venture capital backed early stage companies. Walt was Founder/President of Solbourne, an IT services company and grew the business to 130 employees, which he sold to Deloitte Consulting. The sale of that company allows him to now apply his business experience to advise/mentor entrepreneurs with the challenge of developing sustainable businesses. He advises on strategy, operations, finance, leadership and organizational development. Walt is a member of Social Venture Partners, Investor Circle and Social Venture Network and stays involved as a social enterprise angel investor. He is interested in sustainable agriculture and is a board member and investor in California Safe Soils, which uses grocery store food waste to produce liquid soil amendment/fertilizer. Walt also participates with Slow Money, Impact HUB, Unreasonable Institute and Presidio Graduate School in mentoring entrepreneurs. He is a member of several boards, President of the Imagine Foundation Board, past president of Financial Executives International Denver and received an MBA from the University of Colorado. Walt and his wife are fortunate to have three adult daughters and live in Boulder, CO with a chocolate lab.
