Where Are They Now: Tilt

Over the past several years, Tilt has established itself as a leader in modern leave management, helping employers replace fragmented, manual processes with a more streamlined and people-centered approach.

As the company has grown, so have the decisions facing its leadership team.

Jennifer Henderson at Tilt’s Company Session in 2025.

When founder and CEO Jennifer Henderson joined BEN Colorado's Signature Program, Tilt wasn't looking for help building a product or finding customers. The company was entering a new phase of growth, one focused on strengthening its leadership team, evaluating its long-term capital strategy, and preparing for whatever comes next.

Over the last year, that transition became the defining theme of Tilt's journey.

The early focus during Tilt’s Signature Program experience was on ensuring the right leadership team was in place to support the company's next stage of growth. With those pieces coming together, the discussion shifted toward broader strategic questions: evaluating the path to future fundraising opportunities, profitability, and future growth financing or strategic avenues.

Having experienced advisors who understood the realities of scaling a company helped reinforce key decisions while encouraging Jennifer and her team to think critically about where to focus their time and energy.

Over the course of the program, Tilt reached several significant milestones that positioned the company for its next chapter.

The company welcomed three critical leaders to its team, strengthening the leadership foundation needed for continued growth. At the same time, Jennifer and her leadership team reached an important decision around the company's future capital strategy.

Reflecting on her experience, Jennifer encourages entrepreneurs entering the Signature Program to begin with a clear vision for what they hope to accomplish.

"Be clear about what you want to accomplish with your group, what kind of prep is expected, and choose your lead carefully to ensure they align with your style, approach, and way of working."

When asked what has been most meaningful about being part of the BEN community, Jennifer's answer came down to two things: the relationships she built with advisors and the introductions made through the network.

As Tilt continues preparing for its next chapter, those connections, and the thoughtful conversations that came with them, will continue to play an important role. We're excited to see where the company goes next.

Huge thanks to BEN advisors Colin Cheadle, Hamra Black, Pam Glick, and Scott Walker for leaning in and making BEN happen!
