Record Company Lineup Brings Rocky Mountain Life Sciences Momentum to Vail
Investor Conference Connects High-Growth Companies with Investors and Strategic Partners
A record number of high-growth life sciences companies from Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West will present to investors, strategic partners, and business leaders this fall at the 2026 Rocky Mountain Life Sciences Investor & Partnering Conference Presented by BioMed Realty. Colorado BioScience Association selected close to 50 companies for this year’s conference, a new record. The lineup reflects the strength of the region’s health innovation economy.
The conference takes place September 30 through October 2 at the Grand Hyatt Vail. It will connect founders, investors, strategic partners, and industry leaders for company presentations, one-on-one partnering, networking, and market-focused programming. For the commercial real estate and investment community, the presenting company lineup offers a clear look at the companies driving future demand for specialized lab, research, manufacturing, and innovation space across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West.
Companies will present investor-ready opportunities across biotech, pharma, medical device, diagnostics, digital health, and animal health. Their work spans clinical pipelines, scalable platforms, breakthrough devices, precision diagnostics, digital health tools, and patient-centered solutions designed to improve and save lives.
Colorado’s Life Sciences Growth Creates Opportunity
Colorado’s life sciences community is delivering measurable growth. In 2025, Colorado companies raised a record $3.2 billion, driven by mergers and acquisitions. Over the past five years, life sciences companies in the state have raised more than $10 billion. Federal grants also reached $585.5 million in 2025, an 18% increase from the prior year.
The sector supports approximately 41,000 professionals in Colorado and contributes $52.4 billion in economic impact. These numbers point to a strong and growing base of companies, talent, capital, research, and infrastructure.
Deep Pipeline of Investor-Ready Companies
CBSA selected presenting companies across the full growth spectrum. The lineup includes university spinouts, seed-stage startups, Series A and B companies, and established Colorado success stories.
The biotech and pharma companies are pursuing new approaches in oncology, regenerative medicine, vaccine delivery, traumatic brain injury, osteoarthritis, women’s health, bone health, and neurotechnology.
Medtech, diagnostics, and digital health companies add further depth. Presenting companies are developing solutions in surgical technology, remote monitoring, wound care, cardiovascular devices, cervical cancer screening, airway care, orthopedic fracture care, liquid biopsy, connected clinical decision support, and point-of-care testing.
Colorado Success Stories Show the Growth Path
The program also highlights companies that show how Colorado supports life sciences growth from early innovation to commercial scale.

These companies reflect the region’s ability to support scientific progress, capital formation, company building, and market growth.
Outstanding Speakers Bring Capital and Market Insights
CBSA has built a speaker program that complements the strength of the presenting company lineup. Olympic gold medalist, entrepreneur, cancer survivor, and women’s health advocate Shannon Miller will headline the Championing Women’s Health Breakfast. As America’s most decorated gymnast, Miller earned seven Olympic medals and helped lead the “Magnificent Seven” to the first team gold medal in U.S. women’s gymnastics history.
Today, Miller serves as Founder and CEO of Salto Health, helping cancer survivors access products, services, and support. Miller will share her perspective on elite performance and leadership and how her grit, determination, and commitment to learning and reinventing herself supported her cancer journey and inspired her entrepreneurial path.
The expanded program also brings perspectives from BioMed Realty, Biodesix, Foley Hoag, CJNV BioVentures, Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies, Janus Henderson Investors, J.P. Morgan Private Capital, Nasdaq, J.P. Morgan, CU Boulder, and Arnold & Porter. Speakers will focus on the forces shaping life sciences growth, from private capital and strategic partnerships to public markets, quantum technologies, and new investment opportunities across health innovation.
