Katie joins BEN to launch and lead the new Inclusive Impact Catalyst (IIC) program in partnership with Denver Economic Development & Opportunity.  In this role, she directs efforts to support underrepresented entrepreneurs, build community partnerships and deliver programming that fosters a more inclusive local economy. With a career that spans the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, Katie is passionate about supporting initiatives that create lasting social impact.

Prior to joining BEN, Katie spent more than a decade developing corporate social responsibility programs and philanthropic initiatives at a regional construction and manufacturing company. There, she launched and managed community engagement strategies, led companywide employee events and volunteer programs. She also served on the boards and was the administration for two affiliated foundations focused on local grantmaking and employee assistance.

Katie’s background in community-building began with leading special events and member programming for the Downtown Denver Partnership and the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce. Earlier in her career, she worked in Washington, D.C. at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the White House Office of Presidential Personnel

Based in Denver, Katie is the proud mom of two, an avid traveler, and recently started scuba diving.
